Program Details
Monday – Friday
9am – 3pm
You can customize your schedule with the days and activities that work best for you. Check out our ACTIVITY SCHEDULE.
Gear up is for Denver-area adults 18 or older with autism or intellectual/ developmental disabilities. We welcome people looking to enhance their skills and connect with others.
REVELers learn in small groups (usually a 3:1 REVELer to coach ratio) and apply their knowledge in real situations.
Gear Up focuses on:
- Social relationships
- Exploring new interests and hobbies
- Career skills and interests through volunteering
- Health & wellness
- Daily living skills
- Skills vital to independence

GEAR UP Activities
Adulting 101
Autism and IDD can make the many daily tasks of being an adult feel like they’re too big to take on. In Gear Up, we tackle the to-dos together, from meal planning and budgeting to grocery shopping and getting organized for the week.
Health & Wellness
A healthy body makes for a happy mind. By teaching crucial health and wellness skills, we give REVELers tools to thrive. We work up a sweat exercising, whip up healthy snacks, and learn strategies for keeping a calm mind in busy settings.
Create
For people on the spectrum, words are often barriers. Create is a time where we express ourselves through art! It’s an opportunity to communicate feelings, emotions, and ideas in ways that feel more comfortable and less restrictive.
EMPLOYMENT & VOLUNTEER
Getting a job is a big piece of bridging the gap to adulthood. In Gear Up, we focus on pivotal skills for finding and keeping employment. Plus, REVELers have a chance to practice and learn in the workplace, thanks to partnerships with local businesses.
Wanderlust
Adventure is for everyone. Wanderlust is where we step out of our comfort zones to explore Denver and beyond. These outings, activities, and uniquely Colorado experiences are the highlights of the week for many of our REVELers!
